[Update]: I have become an Energy Healer!

May 16, 20242 min read

This past weekend, I attended a program on Reiki healing.

For those who do not know what it is, it’s a holistic Japanese technique for stress reduction, relaxation, and spiritual healing.

When I was young and ignorant previously, I swore never to join such “woo-woo” programs as I thought I’d never needed them.

But over the years, as I learned from amazing mentors and coaches, I started to open my mind because there was one common lesson many of them have taught me:

Don’t judge something you have never tried before.

And when I started reflecting on why I was so dismissive of such programs…I really could not understand the reason.

Maybe it was to look cool? To seem indestructible? That I was “too good” to ever need help from the Universe?

Similarly, I see so many people “judging” others for joining coaching or seminar programs.

“Why not do it yourself?”

“Why not just watch YouTube videos?”

“Why waste your money on these people? They are just out there to take away your money!”

Yes, there are many reasons to be skeptical, and I know many people have had negative experiences with such programs.

But I realize that so many people simply make blanket judgments about the entire education and industry here, criticizing everyone without understanding. I find it a pity because they close themselves off like that, like the frog in the well.

This is why I have decided to be open to new experiences and possibilities, even though I might be uncomfortable or have the possibility of failing.

But as long as I decide to get back up again and keep moving forward…

I’ll be able to live a more meaningful, colorful, and exciting life where every day feels like a new adventure.

You got this.
