My Annual Review for 2024
Hey Shaira,
It is the time of the year again when I share my annual review.
Doing this will give me a chance to take note of what went well in my life, and what didn’t.
By doing this, I can see what I can do to make next year a better one.
This exercise is not about comparing with others how much or little I have achieved. It is about reviewing my life and how I want to bring it to the next level.
And instead of writing out long complicated reviews which most people tend to get confused or overwhelmed by, I will be doing my Annual Review using James Clear’s 3 simple questions.
They are:
What went well this year?
What didn’t go so well this year?
What am I working towards?
WHAT WENT WELL?
Business Growth & Alignment. While we made less revenue this year, we actually increased our profit margins significantly.
More importantly, I’ve gained much better clarity and intuition about our business model, which has led to better decision-making and fulfillment in my work.

An amazing Relationship. My relationship with my wife has been wonderful - while not perfect, we’ve maintained great communication and created amazing experiences together. The growth we’ve experienced together has been beautiful to experience over the past year
And yes, happy wife = happy life!
Personal Development. I’ve learned to trust my intuition a lot more this year, becoming more grounded and mindful in my approach to life.
My emotional control has improved significantly, leading to way better decision-making in both personal and professional contexts.
Here’s the exact exercise I do every day to achieve this.
WHAT DIDN’T GO WELL?
Money Management. While business growth has been great, I overlooked some basic aspects of financial management that needed more attention. This mainly came down to needing greater oversight and prioritization of both my business & personal finances.
Personally, it would be to DCA more or my funds consistently, allocate a greater sum for unexpected expenses, all while continuing to invest in myself too.
Health Consistency. When my body is performing well, everything flows smoothly. However, when injuries or illness strike (mostly my ankles), my routine tends to fall apart.
I’ve identified that I need to focus more on building emotional resilience since I already know what needs to be done physically.
Content Consistentcy. While I’ve made progress by writing a daily email for 200+ days, there’s room for more consistency on YouTube (& now LinkedIn).
Personally, I’m learning to balance how to focus on creating content using what aligns with me while attracting my ideal clients…instead of just for the views & engagements.

WHAT AM I WORKING TOWARDS?
Mastering the Basics. I’m planning to double down on what’s already working in the business. Instead of seeking new strategies, I’ll focus on optimizing and improving our current processes one step at a time.
Health Resilience. My focus will be on building consistency and resilience that can withstand any circumstances. It’s about creating systems & strategies that work even when everything else isn’t perfect…and that includes working on my mindset.
Relationships & Family. This will always remain my top priority. No questions about this.
Self-Trust & Adaptation. I’m committed to trusting myself more and continuing to adapt and improve, regardless of what challenges come my way.
There’s going to be some exciting times ahead
CONCLUSION
Lastly, if you have managed to read through the end of this long post, thank you for your attention.
Feel free to use my annual review as a template for your own, and to drop me a message if you need someone to talk to about this. I would love to hear what are your goals for 2024!
